An elegant reflection of how historic and contemporary spaces can be gracefully united

As well as retaining, restoring, enhancing and celebrating the historic features of the home, an existing contemporary rear extension was reimagined and a second level was nestled within the soaring roof space.

Within the home, where the original and the modern elements converge, the design has elegantly reinterpreted and recreated the rich historic details to allow the spaces to flow seamlessly. Restored in a contemporary colour palette, this character extends throughout the home and property and graciously reminds us of the longevity of the place and its ongoing contribution to its environment and community.

“Working with Adam and his creative and talented team was as smooth as it was fun.

They were so calm and relaxed with the myriad of decisions required in a renovation.  Every choice made was guided by them but felt like our own and we are truly thrilled with the end result.”

“Living in such an old house we felt like we are custodians of that history for the next generation.  Adam and his team were so respectful of that history, yet added such innovation to make our time in this wonderful home so easy and enjoyable.”

Owners

“We felt really heard along the way - when we were really enthusiastic about a design feature - say arches or a particular stone - Adam and his team adapted quickly to add more of what we loved.”
